Decorated Box Top

Hi Everyone and I hope you had a happy Monday.  My grandson, who does ski racing, won a gold medal for his age group this weekend.  Do we have another "Crazy Canuck" on our hands?  Way to go Nathan!!

My project today is the box top for a set of cards.  This will be part of my fundraising donation for the silent auction to raise money for the Harper Mountain Ski Club (the one Nathan belongs to).  The box contains 8 different occasions cards, from Birthday to....Thinking of You.  I will also be adding a stamp, some DSP and a gift certificate.

Stamps: Mixed Bunch (c-125537, $26.95, w-125535, $33.95, p. 17, 2012 Occasions Mini), Tiny Tags(w-118091 $27.95, c – 118592 $20.95 p. 136, 2011/2012 IB&C),  Build a Blossom (w-121923 $31.95, c – 121994 $22.95 p. 112, 2011/2012 IB&C)
Paper: Perfect Plum, Concord Crush, So Saffron, Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White, Flirtatious DSP, Subtle DSP Stack
Ink: Concord Crush, Pear Pizzazz, Blushing Bride
Accessories: Big Shot, Paper Doily Die, Beautiful Wings Embosslit, Backgrounds 1 Textuz Plates, Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets, Dazzling Diamonds, Pearls, Punches: Blossoms, Blossom Petals Builder, Boho, ½” Circle, Bird Builder, Jewelry Tag,  Pear Pizzazz Seam Binding Ribbon, White Bakers Twine

Have you used the Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets?  They will turn anything into a sticker.   The Mixed Blossom flower was stamped on Whisper White card stock using So Saffron and Concord Crush classic inks, and then the a piece of adhesive sheet applied over the entire art piece. Punch out the flower with the Blossom punch.

Tip: Make sure that the piece of adhesive sheet is slightly smaller than the stamped art piece.  This will help in making sure that your punch does not get clogged with adhesive.

Remove the protective sheet and cover with Dazzling Diamonds.  So much easier than applying glue and then the Dazzling Diamonds.

Here's to a great evening and until next time...

  9. Karen this is gorgeous! What a beautiful gift for a lucky person. This is the type of thing I do for donations/fundraisers. Who couldn't use an all occasion card! So great to have them at your fingertips when you need one. Love your tips too. I'll give it a try.
PS: Just got back from out-of-town ...again. So nice to just sit and catch up in blog land. hugs
