Christmas in July

Hi Everyone:  Christmas in July?  The Tangled Up in Creativity group were challenged to make a Christmas card and not use traditional colours like forest green, red, red, so I decided to use a citrus green and teal.  I really enjoyed making this card and if I don't say so myself, it turned out kinda great!

 Recipe

Stamps: Delightful Decorations, Teeny Tiny Wishes

Paper: Whisper White, Wild Wasabi, Taken with Teal (retired), Bridle Specialty (retired)
Ink: Taken with Teal (retired)
Accessories: Ornament Punch, Oval Punch, Scallop Oval Punch, Scallop Edge Punch, Big Shot – Texturz Plates, Ribbon (other), Sponges, Wild Wasabi Marker, ¼” Grosgrain whisper white ribbon

Layer 1 – Card Base – Taken with Teal – 4 ¼’ x 5 ½”
Layer 2 –Whisper White 4” x 10 1/4”, scored and folded at 5 1/8” and top half of card front randomly stamped using the marker to ink the stamp.
Layer 3 – Wild Wasabi run through the Big Shot using the Texturz plate, a strip of Bridle Specialty paper sponged with Taken with Teal and polished.
Layer 4 – Wild Wasabi – 2” x 3 1/4”
Layer 5 – Whisper White – 1 7/8” x 3” stamped using the Delightful Decorations stamp inked with Taken with Teal. A second ornament was stamped and punched out using the Ornament Punch. A piece of whisper white ribbon is attached to the punched ornament and attached alongside the stamped ornament image with dimensionals.

The sentiment is stamped on Whisper White using Taken with Teal ink, punched out with the oval punch and layered on a piece of Taken with Teal punched using the oval scallop punch.

Finally a piece of ribbon is attached to the top of the ornament ribbon.

So, now I'm off to post this on Gardner's Basket website

Until next time......
