Thank you to my family, friends, co-workers and my friends from the Tangled Up in Creativity blogging group. Your actions helped ease the pain.
Tasha |
These are the flowers that my daughter, Teri and my 31/2 yrs granddaughter, Sarah, came to the door with. Sarah says to me, "Nan, I am sorry that Tasha is in heaven" and then without taking a breath, she says "and Nan, I picked the beautiful roses, they are pink and purple and you know pink and purple are my favourite colour". Of course, Teri and I had to to laugh. It those things that help to put live into perspective.
So now Tasha is gone, life carries on.
I would also like to include a poem that Danie from Tangled Up in Creativity blog group sent to comfort me.
A Pet's Prayer
If it should be that I grow frail and weak, And pain should keep me from my sleep, Then you must do want must be done For this, the last battle can't be won
You will be sad, I understand
Don't let your grief than stay your hand, For this day, more than the rest, Your love and friendship stand the test
We've had so many happy years,
What is to come can hold no fears,
You'd not want me to suffer, so,
When the time comes, please let me go.
I know in time you will see,
It is a kindness you do to me
Although my tail its last has waved
From pain and suffering I've been saved.
Don't grieve it should be you,
Who decides this thing to do,
We've been so close we two these years,
Don't let you heart hold any tears.
Smile for we walked together
For a little while.
Until next time....
Karen
