Did You Remember?

Hi Everyone:  Did you remember to set your clocks back 1 hour and get that extra hour of sleep?  Somehow I woke up at my usual time (old time), so missed the hour.  Maybe I will be able to get it back somehow. The only problem being with this time change that it get dark by 4:00 in the afternoon.

The weather here in Kamloops has continued to be beautiful.  October was wonderful, sunny and warm and that has continued into November.  Somehow, I think our luck will run out some time.  It's supposed to be a La Nina year or maybe it's a Le Nina year and we are to get colder and snowier that we have been for the past 30 years.  If that is true then I am not looking forward to the winter.

I have been busy over the past week working on a Design a House project.  It was a lot of fun and somehow I spent more time on it than I should have.  I kept adding things...oh well.  I will be able to put one of those battery operated tea lights in it, so it will be an added Christmas decoration...like I need more lol.

Stamps: Northern Hearts (Hostess Set – Level 1)

Paper: Crumb Cake, Always Artichoke, Deck the Halls DSP
Ink: Always Artichoke
Accessories: Gold Waffle Paper, Design a House, Big Shot, Tasteful Trim Bigz XL Die, Deck the Halls Designer Fabric, Deck the Halls Big Designer Buttons, Matchbox Bigz XL Dies, Cherry Cobbler marker, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Very Vanilla Taffeta Ribbon, Dotted Scallop Ribbon Punch, 3/16” Corner Punch

If you notice, I even hung curtains using the Deck the Halls fabric... And don't you love the door handle?

I also have included a picture of me and my grandchildren when we celebrated by birthday a couple of weeks ago.  They helped me blow out my candles, there were a lot of candles needless to say, so I needed all the help I could get.  I am holding Sagan, the youngest and Nathan and his sister Sarah are standing next to me. Sitting beside us is Sagan's Dad and my son Dean.

That's it for now, so until next time....

  1. Karen, this is simply OUTSTANDING!!!!! LOVE IT! Even though I probably don't need another Christmas decoration either, I'd be sure and use this one. And that door knob!!! What in the world did you use? It looks like a real one. Love the "smoke" coming out of the chimney!
    Too cute.

  4. I am so jealous of the patience it took to make such a marvelous house! One of those battery operated tea lights would show it off on a side or end table during these less light days!
