Let It Snow

Hi All:  Well, we had our first snowfall on the hills and not on the valley floor where I live.  It is pretty to see the fresh fallen snow and I wished it would stay in the hills but that is not likely to happen.  In fact, Sun Peaks, our major ski resort is due to open this weekend.  I know my grandson is excited as he loves to ski.  Even his sister is going to learn this year.  I guess it's better to learn when you don't have so far to fall.  I am one of those clutsy athletes and you can visualize me skiing with my face planted firmly in the snow, or falling off the ski lift.

Today, I am posting a card that I have done for the Paper Players.  You can check out their challenge HERE  This weeks it a colour challenge using Cherry Cobbler, Aways Artichoke and a Neutral and I chose Very Vanilla.

  1. Gorgeous card!!!! Love those colors together - they make such an elegant card. And yours is so very rich and elegant looking! Beautiful.
I'm still laughing about the snow and skiing. I've never been skiing, but I know I also would end up right on my face - or snack dab into a tree!

  2. Such a gorgeous use of this beautiful DSP! I love your addition of the pearl center and the crochet ribbon is perfect for the vintage feel. Thanks so much for joining us at The Paper Players this week!

  3. Karen, this is just gorgeous! Love the DSP, the pearls and the crochet trim. I am a little jealous of your snow (nothing like that here in Texas) and the skiing. Even after a bad knee injury years ago, I still brave it whenever I can! So much fun, although I have fallen off the ski lift a couple of times myself! Haha! Enjoy! Thanks for playing with us at The Paper Players this week/

  7. Karen this card is fabulous! I love the DSP and my favorite part is the pearls. Love those pearls! Very elegant feel.
PS: I also hope the snow stays UP there for a long time, as I'm just not ready for that yet. It's pretty from a distance but I hate the drive in the early, early mornings. Thanks for stopping by and leaving the lovely comment on my card set too.
