Now on to the real stuff, my card... It's a Birthday card for one of my friends and while her birthday is still a couple of weeks off, we are celebrating on Friday. It's so hard to get a good night for all of us.
This card is also for the Saturday Sketch Challenge 197 over at Stamping 411. This was also going to be an entry for Pals Paper Art but missed the deadline...oh well, in 4 months maybe that won't happen.
So, Happy Birthday Dianne.

What a lovely card Karen. As Lynn said you are going to love it BUT don't make list, don't think about closets instead take some time for you to smell the roses and decide just what you do want to do.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty, and I love that you finished the inside too! Congrats on your upcoming retirement!!

ReplyDeleteKaren,
ReplyDeleteYour card is beautiful and your friend will love it! That's pretty cool when you can make a card to meet THREE challenges... (sorry you missed one though), but it's beautifal none the less. Love the inside too.
CONGRATULATIONS on retirement. I only WISH it was me... I have to keep going a few more years, but I would love for it to be now. I'm sure you're going to have NO problem keeping busy. ENJOY!
Hugs.
Happy Retirement! Your card is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty!! Congrats on your retirement!!
ReplyDeleteThis is a truly beautiful birthday card Karen and I am sure your friend will just love it. I really love the multicoloured stamping of your flower image on the circle with the scallops layered behind just showing partly around it.

ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your up-coming retirement!! I hope you enjoy yours every bit as much as I enjoy mine!
Congratulations on your upcoming retirement! I'm scheduled to "retire" the week before you on 7/22. Actually, that's when I get laid off from my job due to the ending of the Space Shuttle Program. Not surprisingly, I seem to have the same list you do!! Great card, too!
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, CONGRATS! Second of all...lovely and gorgeous card! I simply love seeing cards with this delicate and beautifulstamp set and you do it justice, and then some! Great job!
ReplyDeleteThis is just a beautiful card!!!! I love the soft colors, and that punch edge is a fav of mine! Congrats on the retirement news! Forget the cleaning and stuff - I always dream of time to stamp and scrap! Thats what I would do!
