Cards for Fall

It's 35 degrees C or nearly 100 degrees F and I'm doing Fall cards.  Maybe it helps me to cope with this ridiculous heat.  It has started to cloud over and I can hear the thunder rolling.  Hopefully, we won't get any lightening because with the dry hot weather, the forests have dried out and there is always the potential for wild fires.

I know, it was just a month ago and we were complaining about the rain...oh well, we are just never satisfied with the weather no matter what season we are in.

Besides, the weather is one of those things that we just don't have control over or do we? 

I am not sure if this is common knowledge, but seeding clouds with silver iodide and dry ice (carbon dioxide) has been known to change the weather around airports, farming areas, and drought areas.  These chemicals will increase precipitation such as rain or snow and it will also inhibit hail and fog.  

Actually, this is practiced in all areas around the globe with the most significant usage in China.  How do I know about this?  My son, a meteorologist, worked for a company in Alberta that was contracted by insurance companies to assist in the control of hail, which can be golf size and cause much damage to grain crops.

But can this be good for people and the environment?  The experts agree that there is little impact to people and the ground as the amount of silver exposure is less than the silver in a tooth filling. 

But who knows the long term effects as many studies in other area determine that there is little cause for concern and then 10 - 15 years later, another study will come out contradicting the previous study.  You just can't fool with Mother Nature.

The secret to using this die cut and the stamp is to die cut the card stock first, ink up the stamp and lay it on the die cut.  Of course, it can be a bit tricky is get it lined up.
