World Card Making Day

October 6th is World Card Making Day and it is a holiday to celebrate the creations of hand made cards and the special connections and relationships that these cards generate.

This day also signals the start of the card making season for all your holiday and Christmas cards.

So, for today, go to your happy place and create a special card for those that are special to you.

Happy Creating!!

In honour of World Card Making Day, I have a Christmas card for you.

Stamps: Ornament Keepsakes (c – 128051, w – 128048, p. 3 2012 Holiday Catalogue), Greetings of the Season (c - 128033, w- 128030 p.8 p. 3 2012 Holiday Catalogue)
Ink: Primrose Petals, Early Espresso
Paper: Very Vanilla, Candlelight Christmas DSP
Accessories: Big Shot, Labels Collection Framelit, Adhesive Sheets, Dazzling Diamonds, Primrose Petals 3/” Stitched Satin Ribbon

The ornament is stamped with Primrose Petals and then a piece of Adhesive Sheet was placed on top of the stamped image.  Before peeling off the backing, the image is run through the Big Shot using the matching framelit from the Holiday Ornaments Framelit Die.  This step saves you framelits from the glue.

After cutting, peel off the Adhesive backing and sprinkle with the Dazzling Diamonds.  The Adhesive sheets make adding Dazzling Diamonds to an image so easy peasy.

The sentiment banner is hand snipped.  These are great to use up your little strips of scraps.

  4. Karen, I love the glittery ornament and how it pops against the black. Not your typical Christmas colors and it works!
