My Digital Studio Album Now Finished

Well, the Japan album is finally finished and sent away to the printers.  I did manage to take advantage of the extension on the 31% off that Stampin' Up! was offering.

And that makes me happy.

Sometimes, I just work better under a deadline...probably like a lot of people.

I did enjoy creating this album as it allowed me to use some of the new features in MDS2, like attaching text to curved lines, changing the colours of embellishments, painting stamp images different colours and sometimes using more than one colour on the stamp.

This page features a temple in Kyoto and the views were spectacular as the complex had been built on the top of the hill.  Actually for the amount of people that were sight seeing that day, the mood was calming and relaxing.

On this page, there are 3 of the new features...filling a punch with photos,,,this is fun and the stamp "enjoy" is coloured with 2 different colours, and the butterfly (part of the embellishment group) colours have been changed.

These are a series of pictures as we got closer to Mt. Fuji.  We were very lucky that it was such a clear day as we were able to see the top all covered with snow.  It is a spectacular sight in person.  It's hard to get a picture to do the mountain justice.

On this page I used the ability to add multiple colours to a stamp, add splatters, and attach the words to the curved line at the top of the page.

Download the MDS FREE TRIAL  and you can try out the new features.

February Club Card

Hi Everyone,  It's Wednesday and you know what that means...slide into the weekend.

My share today is the final project for the February Club coming up this Friday.  If you would like to join us, contact me HERE and I will give you the details.  It's fun and I offer different techniques to get you on your way to happy stamping and making cards.

I used My Digital Studio to print 2 umbrellas  from the Rue De Fleur digital stamp set using Concord Crush colour.

With the first umbrella, I cut the card stock so that the umbrella ended up in the middle and the second umbrella, I cut out and used dimensionals to give the umbrella a 3-D look.  I used pastels to colour the lace along the bottom, attached one of the new larger peals to the top and a smaller pearl on the umbrella handle.

If you want to try this technique and don't have the My Digital Studio software, you are in luck.

Stampin' Up! has a FREE Trial offer for My Digital Studio going on right now.  Check out my Free Trial  page to find out the details and you can be on  your way to creating Hybrid cards (hybrid cards are those that combine digital and crafting supplies.

PPA 122 Christmas

Hi Everyone:  Well, here I am with the second post of the day.  I wanted to share this card with you as it is a Hybrid card made using The Welcome Christmas stamp brush from My Digital Studio and the standard papers, accessories, etc that you would use on a regular hand stamped card.

I created the image and then printed it out on Very Vanilla card stock using my own colour printer.  This is a great method if you do not own the physical stamp and you want to make a card.

Just download the digital image from Stampin' Up! and voila, you have a image that you can re-size and or change the colour of the image, plus add other embellishments is you wish.

My Digital Studio images are also compatible with other types of digital imaging programs.

The Pals Paper Art challenge is to use a combination of Cherry Cobbler, Always Artichoke and Very Vanilla.

Stamps: Welcome Christmas (My Digital Studio), Pines and Poinsettias (c – 123764, $17.95 w – 123762, $24.95 p. 21, 2011-2012 Holiday Mini)
Paper: Very Vanilla, Always Artichoke, Cherry Cobbler, Deck the Halls DSP (retired)
Ink: Always Artichoke, Cherry Cobbler
Accessories: Big Shot, Vintage Wall Paper Embossing Folder, Versa-mark, Clear Embossing Powder, Always Artichoke Seam Binding Ribbon, Cherry Cobbler Quilted Ribbon, Crochet Trim, Pearls

The Always Artichoke CS was run through the Big Shot using the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder, but before I did that, I covered the embossing folder with versa-mark ink so that I could heat emboss using  Clear Embossing Powder.  The edges of the Cherry Cobbler CS were distressed and then sponged with the Cherry Cobbler ink.

To finish off the card, I added a floret made with the Crochet trim and made the leaves from Always Artichoke Seam Binding ribbon and who can resist adding a Pearl...I can't.

Off I go now to post my card so I don't miss the deadline.
Until next time....
