Stampin' Up! Open House this Weekend

Now for great news...  Two of my BBF and I have played scrabble for 25 years, complete with scrabble trophy and we do have fun.  We have a scrabble tournament about 4 times a year and make a day of it, breakfast, lunch, snacks, and fun.  In the past we have played up to 9 games but now it seems like we can only handle about 5 games in one day.  Do you think age has anything to do with it?  Anyways, today was one of our scrabble tournament days.  I finally won the scrabble tournament after all this time...YEAH  ...maybe I'm getting smarter. LOL.

Even though there are times for celebrations, there is also times for sadness.  My card today is a sympathy card for a friend whose father passed away quite recently.

    No I don't think it is age I think it is an ever expanding vocabulary.
    Your combination of colours is lovely today Karen. How is it not having to get up at the same time each day?

    I wish I lived closer Karen I would be at your Open House with bells on. Your card today is so lovely. The black/white/yellow combination is such a beautiful combination as is your stamp and embossing selection for this sympathy card. I love it!

    Karen LOVE your sympathy card. The colors work beautifully together I really like the wheel as a BG at the bottom. The butterflies are gorgeous in yellow! I do have the vintage wheel and haven't used it in ages...thanks for the inspiration to get it out.
    Congrats on the scrabble tournament too! Whoo hoo. I stink at scrabble... not that I don't know how to spell, but we usually play a fews a year with my friend and her husband always comes up with those "scrabble dictionary" words... where I say 'use it in sentence'.... yeah right!
