Happy Birthday Sagan

Hi Everyone:  A week has past since my last post and the time has flown by.  I had a busy weekend, what with taking care of my granddaughter on Friday, a family BBQ on Saturday and then Sagan's 3rd birthday on Sunday and then it was back to work.

Grandchildren are sooo much fun...On Friday, I took Sarah to her gymnastics's class and then after she was done, I wanted to buy Sagan's birthday present, so I asked her where we should go...answer was Toy RUs.  Why didn't I think of that.  After we shopped (and she does love shopping), I asked where would she like to go for lunch.  Answer....Tim Horton's.  Now this isn't a typical kid request for lunch, so I asked her well what are you going to have....Bagel and Cream Cheese, Chocolate Milk and a Do-nut with sprinkles....This one is 4 going on 12.

So...on with Sagan's Birthday card.

A Week Today and It's Over

Hi Everyone:  How many of us are still rushing around trying to get that last present bought and wrapped, the last minute baking and of course, then there is Christmas Dinner and all the preparation and cooking that goes into that.  But, you know, the best parts are the family and friends that you are in touch with and remembering why we celebrate Christmas.  My best part is all the activities that go on before the big day.  What's your best part?

The card for today is Sarah's birthday card and it just had to be done in purple and pink, because, and I quote, "those are my favourite colours, you know"!

Oh to be 4 and flipping around in my Disney Princesses and Fairies dress up.

Happy Thanksgiving

Hi Everyone:  It's a time of celebration for us in Canada this weekend.  It's Thanksgiving and a time to spend with family and friends, eating turkey and pumpkin pies and of course mashed potatoes, and then there's the extra day off on Monday.  It will be a little squishy in my house because somehow I was elected to cook for 15 people.  Oh well, that means I get the left-overs, yeah!

It's also a happy time over at Stampin' Up! as there are 200 new items in the clearance rack...You saw right 200 new items at very reduced prices (up to 80%).  These will be here until they are sold out, so if you are wanting some new product, check out my site HERE and shop til you drop. Who doesn't like a good deal!

These are Halloween cards that I did for my grandchildren...have to make one more but I thought I would share these.  I just love the Beary Best Friend set and Stampin'Up! has great accessory stamps to go along.

Build A Bear Back to School

Hi Everyone:  we are experiencing a little bit more of summer.  The last week has been pleasant and some days HOT.  This weather is supposed to continue for a few more days.  We are lucky here in the BC interior as places on the coast are experiencing record rainfalls with people having to be evacuated and some towns completely cut off because the roads have been washed away.  I sure do sympathize with those people to have their lives in an up roar.

I still have some room in the October 15th class.  Please contact me for further details.  Don't miss out!

The cards that I have for the post today are from the Build a Bear.  They are so cute and there are so many things and themes that you can do around them.  They are great for invitations to birthday parties, making colouring books, great for Moms, Dads and Grandparents and generally anyone who has children in their lives.  Or let the kids make their own invitations and cards.  What fun!

Stamps: Beary Best Friends (W-118052), Season of Hugs (W-120823), Cute by the Inch (Level 2 Hostess)
Paper: Textured Whisper White, Poppy, Watercolour, Whisper White
Ink: Black Stazon, Basic Black
Accessories: Big Shot, Square Lattice Embossing Folder, Various Markers, Poppy ribbon, eyelets, Blender Pens, Curly Label Punch

To give some dimension to the apple, I stamped, coloured, cut out and attached with a dimensional.  The flowers on the girl's dress were stamped using the Season of Hugs stamp.  The word 'hi" is highlighted in the "ABC"s with a marker to stand out.

Have a great evening.

Until next time....
