From Salt Lake City - Convention Swap 2

Hi Everyone from Salt Lake City.  We have arrived for the Stampin' Up Convention, a few days early.  We did hit the Outlet stores yesterday and I am sure the sales persons were happy to see us.  Five women who all like to shop.

Shopping In Salt Lake City
I have another swap that I would like to share with you today.  This one uses the Upsy Daisy stamp, one of my favourites.  I used the stamp-off technique...stamp your image and without reinking the stamp, move slightly to the right and stamp again.  This technique gives a shadow effect.

Stamps: Upsy Daisy (w-111710 $22.95 IB&C p 116), Fabulous Phrases (c-117002 $46.95, w-117002 $46.95 IB&C p 107), Four Frames (c-123442 $19.95 w-123440 $25.95 IB&C p 141),
Paper: So Saffron, Whisper White, Night of Navy, Regals DSP Stack,
Ink: So Saffron, Pool Party, Night of Navy
Accessories: Decorative Label Punch

I also took part in my first organized swap, making 16 cards with 16 other stampers...WHAT FUN and beautiful cards - actually WOW cards.

Tomorrow will be a busy day - taking in Memento Hall and a visit to the Riverton manufacturing plant where the Stampin' Up! stamps are made.  I am looking forward to all the excitement.

So until next time...

A Quick Post Today

Hi Everyone and I hope you are enjoying your week.  Only one more day to go for those of us who work Monday to Friday...whoo hoo.  One thing that I will try and do this weekend is wash my car.  I am not sure what colour it is anymore what with the melting snow and the puddles on the road.  Soon we will be navigating those pot holes that reach up and grab you.
My card today is a Thank You to my neice for her wonderful Christmas present.  I did get it to her a couple of weeks ago so if she is checking out my blog the surprise will not be ruined.
Stamps: Upsy Daisy (w-111710 - $22.95, IB&C p 112), Teeny Tiny Wishes (w- 115370, $45.95, IB&C p 157), Daisy Dash Wheel (111255 - $10.50, IB&C p 106)
Paper: Textured Whisper White, Riding Hood Red, Subtle DSP, So Saffron, Basic Grey
Ink: So Saffron, Basic Grey
Accessories: Versa-mark, Big Shot, Ovals Original Dies, Beautiful Wings Embosslits, Clear Embossing Powder, Word Window Punch, Modern Label Punch, Basic Pearls, Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon

The Upsy Daisy image was stamped in Versa-mark and then in So Saffron ink and embossed with Clear Embossing Powder.

The pleated ribbon was done by laying down a strip of sticky tape and laying the ribbon on the tape and pleating across the sticky tape.  Very easy peesy.

Don't forget Sale-A-Bration is in full swing.  Order through me with a minimum of $60.00 and you will be able to choose free stuff from the SAB catalogue or stamps in the IB&C.  The stamp items are located on the inside of the back cover.  Or, hold a class and if your class order totals a minimum of $395.00 (not including shipping and taxes) and you can receive more free stuff...your hostes gifts and a SAB item.  Who doesn't like free stuff?

So that is my quick post today, enjoy and until next time...

Sharing Another Sympathy Card

Hi everyone and welcome to Thursday.  I am off today and supposed to be doing income tax, only 1 more day to file.  But here I am on my blog....it's called procrastinating.  They will get done by tomorrow.

I have to tell you I also joined a blogging group and I am very excited to be part of this group.  We are a new group and have to decide on a name but once we do, I will share that with you.

The card I am sharing to day is based on a card by Dawn Easton over at http://www.splitcoaststampers/ although it has my own personal spin on it.  It is a sympathy card....making way too many these days.  I hope you enjoy.

  Recipe
Stamps: Upsy Daisy, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Paper: Whisper White Textured and Plain, Rich Razzleberry, Going Grey
Ink: Rich Razzleberry, Going Grey
Accessories: White Grosgrain Ribbon
Technique: layering, 2-step stamping
The various layers were built using Rich Razzleberry and Going Grey. The Upsy Daisy was stamped on the whisper white CS and then stamped off using the 2-step stamping technique. The sentiment was stamped in the top right hand corner of the whisper white and a ribbon attached to the bottom left.

Have a great day and only 1 more till the weekend.

Until later.........

Karen
